What is the difference between Perfume, Eau de Parfum, Eau de Toilette, and Eau de Cologne?
The differences are simply a matter of the amount or concentration of oils in the fragrance. These oils are called juice. The highest concentration of juice is in perfume (or parfum). Next would be Eau de Parfum, then Eau de Toilette, and finally Eau de Cologne. Actually, Eau de Toilette and Eau de Cologne are generally interchangeable, particularly in Mens fragrances. After Shave has the least amount of oils. The higher the concentration of juice the longer your fragrance will last, and the less you need to apply.

Why do some fragrances seem to last much longer than others?
People with dry skin usually find their fragrance holding time shorter than those with oily skin because oily skin has more natural moisture to hold in the fragrance. PH levels (amount of acidity in our skin) also varies slightly from person to person. Our individual levels of PH will determine how each ingredient in a fragrance will react.

How can I make my scent last longer?
Fragrance lasts longer on some people than on others because of differences in our skin (oily or dry) and in our PH levels. To achieve a longer effect, try layering your fragrance. Using the fragrance bath gel, (if the company offers one), then the moisturizer or powder, and then the Eau de Toilette, Eau de Parfum or Eau de Cologne, will usually have a longer lasting effect. Also, apply your fragrance low on the body, as well as behind your ears and on your neck so that the scent rises and you wont lose it as quickly. A light spray on the hair can last all day.

What is the difference between a splash and a spray?
There is absolutely no difference in the fragrance. The difference is in the application only. However, a spray bottle, being ostensibly sealed all the time, may actually have a longer shelf life. Making the decision between spray and splash is entirely a matter of personal preference.

Why do some men wear Cologne, and others prefer to wear After Shave?
Colognes fragrance will generally last much longer than After Shave. However, many men choose to wear both. The fragrance lasts longer, you can use less of each, and you get the facial benefit of an After Shave.

Why does fragrance contain alcohol?
Alcohol makes the fragrance emanate from your skin. Without alcohol, you would be the only person who knew you were wearing any fragrance at all.

What are the differences between After Shave Lotion, After Shave Gel, and After Shave Balm?
After Shave Lotion will usually sting as well as help close the pores after shaving. After Shave Balm is actually soothing to the skin. After Shave Gel also soothes the skin, but cools the skin as well and relieves razor burn.

What is shower gel?
Shower gel is soap in a different form. It is made for use by both men and women, foams up well and leaves your chosen fragrance on the skin. It then enhances your cologne or perfume and the fragrance will last much longer.

What do fragrance notes refer to?
Fragrances are comprised of many different scents, these scents are called notes. Top notes are very light and last just a few minutes (5-10 minutes). Middle notes become apparent in about 15 minutes after application. These can last up to an hour or more. Bottom notes are the heavier ingredients. These last the longest, usually for several hours.

How can I keep my fragrance from going bad?
Keep all fragrance in a cool, dry area, and away from windows as sunlight can unbalance the various ingredients. An opened bottle should be kept in its box to insure a longer shelf life.

How long will it take to receive my first issue?
The actual delivery date of your first issue will depend on how frequently the magazine you have ordered is published. Once you have placed an order, it take 1 to 2 weeks for your subscription to be received and scheduled by the publisher. Your subscription is then added to the publishers next publication cycle and shipped via standard mail. For example, if your monthly subscription was ordered and received by the publisher in November, and the December issue has already shipped, your order may be added to the January mailing. The number of times the magazine publishes each year will determine when your first issue arrives. For example, the first issue of a weekly magazine should arrive within 4 to 6 weeks of your order. The first issue of a monthly magazine should arrive within 6 to 10 weeks, and bi-monthly magazines should arrive within 10 to 12 weeks. If you have not received your subscription within the expected time frame, please contact us.Rest assured, your subscription starts when you receive your first unit--not when you place your order. If you subscribed for 12 issues, you will receive all 12.

Can I renew my subscription through your service?
Sure you can! Simply complete the order information by listing your name and address as it appears on your current mailing label. Your order will be added to the end of your current subscription.

How do I find a specific magazine?
A search box is available on every every page throughout the site. You may also browse for a magazine title by category. If you do not see a magazine title you are interested in, please contact us. We have access to additional titles (adult, etc) that we choose not to display on the regular site but those can be ordered via email.

How do I change my mailing address?
At any time during your subscription, you may change your address by by email or phone.

How can I request a refund?
Please contact us by email or phone to request a refund. We stand behind every magazine subscription with this guarantee to you. Our customers will be completely satisfied or they will receive a complete refund for undelivered issues, at any time, for any reason. If you are unhappy, just let us know and we will give you a prompt refund. Please note that any money returned will be for the original magazine cost only, it will not include the amount donated to the cause of the customers choice. An example is that you paid $21 for a magazine, $11 was donated to charity, so your refund will be $10.

Refunds are issued in the same method as original payment. Debit or Credit Card refunds will be processed in 1 to 3 days of cancellation. Check or Money Order refunds will be mailed via US postal Service within 3 to 5 days of cancellation. Please note that charges by your financial institution due to insufficient funds or over the limit fees are the responsibility of the account holder.

Can your magazine orders be delivered outside the United States? No. We can process orders to be sent to any address within the 50 United States, but at this time we are unable to send magazine subscriptions to destinations outside the US. In addition, there are a few titles that are "prison restricted" meaning we are unable to send subscriptions to prison inmates for certain titles.

How do I check the status of my magazine order?
If your allotted wait time for delivery has passed (anywhere from 4 to 12 weeks, depending on magazine issue frequency), please feel free to contact us. We will then contact the publisher for you to check on the status of the order and expected delivery dates.

How many magazine titles do you have?
We offer discounted subscriptions for around 1500 magazines, with all profits from the sale going to the cause of your choice!

I placed a renewal through your website, but now I am receiving two copies of the same magazine!
No problem! Contact us and we will let the publisher know and ask that they combine the two subscriptions and extend the expiration date to compensate for the duplicate issues.

What is your Uninterrupted Subscription Service?
Uninterrupted Subscription Service is an easy and hassle-free way of renewing your magazine subscriptions with us. We notify you via email when your subscription is about to expire. The email gives you the option to cancel the renewal. The email will show your renewal rate, issues, shipping address, estimated donation, etc. You will never miss an issue because we will renew the subscription for you at exactly the right time. You will probably receive renewal notices from the magazine itself, we ask that you IGNORE those and get your renewal thru us instead. Renewing thru us will generate a donation to your cause, and renewing thru the magazine will not! So we hope you will continue with us and continue to help others with us!

Q. Who makes up The Charity First Foundation and American Marketing?
A. We are a small 2-man company, formed by lifelong friends Chris Dragus and Steve Bailey. We felt it was possible to form a successful small business that put charitable giving and outstanding customer value and service as the priority. We also wanted to help small businesses compete and thrive against their bigger national-chain competitors via our unique advertising opportunities.

Q. How much of my purchase is donated to my cause?
A. We donate 100% of all net profits to the cause of your choice. We have worked hard to find the lowest prices from our suppliers, and since its just the two of us we are able to keep our overhead low. This enables us to pass the savings on to you in the form of great prices AND we are also able to donate more money to causes! The minimum donation will always be $5.00 per item, with many items having MUCH larger donation amounts.

Q. How could my organization (charity, school, church, etc.) earn money thru fundraising with American Marketing and the Charity First Foundation?
A. Easy!! All you need to do is tell everyone you know about us! They would simply place an order at the site, then indicate your organizations name and information during the checkout process. Then, your organization will get 100% of the profit from every order! Imagine if your organization had orders for 500 items from your supporters, and each item earned anywhere from from a $5 to a $100 donation per item!

Q. How can I be sure that the money goes to the cause of my choice?
A. Once your order is placed and processed, we will send you an email with the donation amount we will be sending to your cause.

Q. Im wondering how much of my order will be donated, can I contact you before placing my order to find out?
